The RD Fashion Week 2022 will take place from August 30 to September 4 at JW Marriott Santo Domingo (Blue Mall). This event is in honor of the late Dominican designer Oscar de la Renta.
Official sales of tickets to attend the event is Melkis Díaz Bridal Boutique in Plaza Modes on Ave Pastoriza (next to Telares) in Naco. Tickets are also on sale via Whatsapp: (809) 965 7002
Some of the judges will include José Forteza (editor in chief of Vogue Latinoamérica); Kika Rocha (fashion director of People en Español); Claudia Torres (Hola TV) and professors from Instituto Marangoni. The fashion designer winner will get a scholarship to study a specialty in fashion.
This year invited country is Colombia with the help of the Embassy of Colombia and the participation of 4 Colombian fashion designers.
Other countries that will have representation with their fashion designers includes Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Peru, United States, Venezuela and Mexico.
The following Dominican fashion designers will also be present: Giannina Azar, Cristian Lagares, Bianna Candelario, Jezmin Serulle, Bladimir Calpo, Tiffany Fermín, Lorenny Solano, María Calderón and Mariela Peña among others.
