Re: DR1 Lenny Update -- Mid-day
Lenny has moved further east prior to its expected turn to the northeast. By its position, it is about right under Santo Domingo at the present time. It just started to rain in Santo Domingo at 12:24 pm, Dominican time. At most heavy rains are now expected, with their consequences. A tropical storm warning and a hurricane watch remain in effect for the south coast of the Dominican Republic from Cabo Beata to Cabo Enga?o, according to US weather forecasters, but the updated Intellicast track chart has removed these.
