Real Estate in Santo Domingo

Hi
I will be moving to SD in December, initially renting an apartment.
I am wanting to buy a house in SD, but I cannot find a website that lists all the properties available. I've been on a number of real estate websites, but they all have very limited properties available. Can any one help please. Or am I best to find a realtor that can do the job for me ?

No MLS System here

So every realtor will just have their own listings. There is no guarantee that one realtor will be able to find you what you want, or that he/she will show you every thing that is available - only what she has listed. Owners will listed with lots of different realtors. This is one of the reasons why everyone advises that you just rent for a while before you buy. Then you get a sense of what neighborhood you want to be in, what a fair price is, what features you want, etc etc... I have been here for 4 years and am just now even thinking about buying, figuring out what I want. I am finding that in the neighborhood that I am in - and where I want to stay- Gazcue- the new units which are being built are all sold before construction!! and then rented out IN DOLLARS!! so,... that it how it works here.. a lot differently...

Go to the classified section on DR1 and click onto "super casas". There is a large selection there.
