Riu Mambo or Riu Merengue

My wife and I are looking at staying at either the Riu Mambo or the Riu Merengue in March. Can anyone give me some information on these resorts? Which do you prefer?

Hi there!

My wife & I stayed at the Mambo Feb/99! We loved it! We are booked again Feb/2000!

We found that mambo being only 2 years old (It's 2nd birthday is Feb 14/2000) it is laid out a little differently. The villas are spaced out a bit more, and we found the Merenge's villas were very close together and somewhat overgrown between them. In walking through the merengue's property, we felt it was closed in somewhat because of the overgrowth. From what we saw, the Merenge is a very beautiful resort, but we really enjoyed the Mambo.
