Just came back from RIU palace punta cana

Hi, just came back from this hotel, and I must say is the nicest hotel i have been and i am a local from santo domingo. Of course since is brand new activities by night are kind of lame...karaoke on a saturday night for show??? i dont think so!!! but, the beach is just great...pool with 5 jacuzzis by the side...international drinks included (johhnie walker red label or so).

Did like:

lobby
rooms
drinks
pool
beach
lobster on buffet dinner (believe it or not!)
shrimps with omelettes (wao!)
wrecked ship at the beach (kind of unusual and cool)
you can try other restaurants on other riu hotels near.

did not like:
lame activities (have to overlook that, they are just too new on this)
rodizio restaurant
the sport bar (needs more activity)

overall i definitely recommend this hote...but then again prices range from 200 to 230 dolars a night...so you can figure is just luxurious...you will be impress wth the front of the hotel...seems like something out of this world.

enjoy yourself!!!!

Those are great news. I will be staying in Riu Palace Punta Cana from Sep 18 to the 24th.
On the Karaoke, did they have any local songs? I tell you what, if they have To?o Rosario songs and they let me sing, they may have to raise the prices even more because the enterteiment value is going to increase in a matter of minutes;)

If you don't like the entertainment at the Riu Palace Punta Cana you have five other Riu resorts to choose from. You should be able to find something that you like.
