Roberto Rodríguez Marchena, the known mastermind of political communication during the two terms of former President Danilo Medina, passed away on 6 May 2025 of a heart attack. He served as Medina’s director of communications during and after the presidency. He was 69 years old.
Listin Diario reports that Rodríguez Marchena was more than just a spokesperson for the government. He was the executive and strategic voice behind every state message during Medina’s two terms. He was an architect of political communication, playing a pivotal role in governmental communications and serving as a member of the PLD’s Political Committee.
