Anyone know if Rum Runners have tours leaving from Boca Chica or surronding area. Also, anyone know the website, last one I was given was for Rum Runners in Key West.
Debbie's Dominican Page has a link to Rumrunners. They are having a bit of trouble with the site right now, but I e-mailed them yesterday and received a very nice response today that answered all my questions. Since Boca Chica is such a popular spot, I'm willing to bet that they have a tour in that area. Mia
I am going to Holiday in Boca Chica around 15-22 March and would love to take one of these tours. If you find further details, would you be kind enough to post me? I am sending you an email message also, the last time I posted on this board, the message left after only one hour.
You will really enjoy the tour if you take it! We found it not only a great time with our hosts but a very educational experience! Have a great time! I am positive that you will! We have some pictures on our webpage!
We returned from a wonderful week at the Hamaca in Boca Chica on Sunday. Rumrunners is not running in that part of the island. There is a spinoff company called Outback Jungle Safari which offers the same type of tour. Big trucks with racks on the back that will hold about 14 people. Lots of rum and a picnic lunch. Cost is $69 US per person. They picked us up at about 8:30 and we got back at 4:30. You drive thru Santo Domingo and up into the mountains. A stop for a swim and lunch and then more touring. Scenery is breathtaking. If you are lucky enough to have Geraldo for a guide, you'll have a wonderful day. Say HI to him from the 4 goofs that were on last Tuesday's run in the rain. Tell him Robert still hasn't got the sand out of his shoes!
I am staying at the Bavaro Beach Resort Mar. 21 - 28. Is there a Rum Runners tour that picks up there or where we can get to close by? Let me know. I have checked out their site, but the Punta Cana area does not have the detail of the trip like other parts of the DR. Can anyone let me know if they went on a tour from Bavaro Beach?
Contact Carlos Ml. Medrano, email inv.delcaribe@codetel.net.do He offers Jeep adventures in the area and his company is called Bavaro Runners. His telephone is (809) 552-0900 in Punta Cana.
