Sales person/Event coordinator wanted!

I have an entertainment business which supplies shows and spot entertainment for hotels in Punta Cana. Recently we have been requested by many businesses for private events, parties and weddings. I have most things covered in Punta Cana and Cap cana, but I am looking for someone to be based in Santo Domingo selling our services for private events and doing site visits etc.

This would include meetings with a big spectrum of people from a mum who want to throw a nice 15th birthday party for their daughter to Event organizers for Brugal, Presidente and other large corporations.

Pay would be mainly commission based as i need someone with drive and ethusiasm, i feel if i pay a good basic salary the urgency to sell will not be there.

This person will be the main contact in Santo Domingo and must be fluent in spanish, and be very presentable and be able to organize and oversee any event easily. They will be expected to be present at most of the private events we do to make sure the client is happy and the performers are where they should be, doing what they should be doing at the right time.

As i said we have already had alot of interest and done many weddings and private events for people such as the U.S Chamber of commerce, Avianca and casa de Campo with NO advertising!! I feel for the right indivdual this could be a very lucrative position as we are the only company that offers this type of entertainment.

With commission alone you can't pay your bills.

You will need to find someone recently liquidated that ha some money apart to take such a risk

And most have kids and they need food first which is obvious so basic salary that covers those expenses is a MUST

As i mentioned in the first post it will be "Mainly commission", A basic salary will be paid.

I have paid much higher salaries before and found that the drive to earn more money by actually doing the job of getting out there and selling was not there.

Luckily i have what sounds to be the perfect candidate coming for an interview tomorrow.
