"Jerzy",thank you for your service. There seem to be quite a few "American/Dominicans" serving their country in the military.
There are more than a few "VETS" here on DR1.
We have,"Been There,Done That",all over the globe.
From those who "KNOW",we salute you,and all the others who don't complane, but serve!

Hello, I'm from Czech Republic and I read in several news... all US Army already left Afghanistan, so.. you're inhabitant of Afghanistan?
My apologies for upsetting a few folks. Of course Afghanistan is difficult. Viet Nam was tough, and Irag too. When we get started in Iran it will be just as bad, but we have several contenders for president that are shaking their sabers that direction.
I have respect for all those who have served in any of these and all the other military campaigns the US have been in.

That's false. There are still US troops in Afghanistan and will be for a while, the troops are leaving Iraq. My son, a specialist just came home a few weeks ago from Kandelhar(spelling). He never wants to return.
Thank you to everybody and a little about me. My mother's side of the family is from D.R and my father's side is from Cuba. On my Dominican side, most are from the Santiago area, I have only been there once as a kid. I am from Newark, NJ and half of my life in Bronx, NY. Currently stationed out of Ft. Bliss, TX., MOS is 19D, Cavalry Scout, I am at Fob Shank, Afghanistan, 4th deployment, after this I'm done, my 2 kids deserve me home.. Thanks again!
