Good deal yesterday.

Santo Domingo to Toronto via Miami on American Airlines return all taxes included $748 Canadian over the Christmas Vacation.

Is this for fares out of SDQ and bought there (in which case the ITBIS applies) or from Toronto and back? What dates? I can't find anything like that at all, the lowest CDN$888 + taxes. There is a fare of $680 + tax from YYZ in Q however there are no Q seats for sale. Seeing it advertised and actually getting a ticket can be two different things.

Might be better trying for AC's non stop fares, if available. But both airlenes don't seem to be throwing around discounted rates for Christmas. AC has H fares and some seats for CDN$918 non stop R/T. And a smattering of V at $838.

Leaving on the 16th and going back well after the big rush of Jan 1-3 is why this is so cheap. While it is "over" Xmas (e.g. you are there during Xmas), it is not really an Xmas trip ,e.g. leaving closer to the 21-24th and coming back before the 2nd or 3rd. Those ones are more and in short or non-existent supply.

There are probably not a lot of people that can go for 20 days for a holiday to take advantage of this fare, nor many going from SDQ to Toronto vs. the other way which I bet is no bargain. And it isn't - the lowest is $960 with multiple airlines.

And the one-stopper on AA is CDN$1700+
