DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SHIPPING COMPANY IN ATLANTA OR SURROUNDING AREAS? I WOULD LIKE TO SEND MY DAD A REFRIGERATOR AND STOVE. I PREFER DOOR TO DOOR DELIVERY SO THAT HE DOES NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY FEES.

In Atlanta call Caribbean International Shipping Service @ 404-297-7994. A refrigerator would cost about $350 to ship. There may be others, check under Shipping-Packages in the Yellow Pages

Hello Kenny, Have you checked the import duty figures for electrical goods into the DR? Sometimes they can be astronomical as Aduana (customs to you & me) make up their own laws as they go along. They work on the principle that once it is here in their care, you will pay almost whatever they ask rather than shipping it back. Check it out thoroughly through your shipping agent & get it in writing if at all possible. - Grahame.
