Irregularities mar the tender for the technological design of the border wall with Haiti, reports investigative journalist Eduardo Sanchez Tolentino (El Piro) on Somos Pueblo TV. The contract was granted for the technological aspects of the 110 km wall. The wall is going up along about a third of the country’s 391.6 km border with Haiti.

El Piro reported that the Ministry of Defense pre-selected the seven companies that participated in the tender for the RD$90 million border wall technology contract. At the end, one newly created company, Security Hub Srl won the contract.

El Piro expressed concern that two Haitians, naturalized Canadians, would be key partners in the company to build the wall that precisely is to defend Dominican sovereignty from possible Haitian perpetrators. Regardless, I hope they get the wall built as soon as possible.
Winde. How can you overlook what the investigating reporter wrote? I know you have strong feelings, as I do on the subject ,so I'm surprised at "regardless".

True they should have been in business for the minimum 10 years. If they get pulled from the contract, just go immediately to number 2 on the list and get it done.

The most important thing is getting the wall built. As soon as possible and as well built as possible. Haitians are going to do all the heavy lifting during construction.

It doesn't bother me that they're Haitians. There are many successful Haitian business people in this world Maybe they'll have Haitians building the wall. Win/Win.

The wrong thing I see is that the company has not been in business long enough to qualify.

Of course Haitians will be doing most of the construction.
