FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (November 3, 2005) ? Spirit Airlines announces new, non-stop, daily service from Fort Lauderdale to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic beginning December 10, 2005. Spirit will offer connecting service through its Fort Lauderdale hub to the destination from Atlanta (1) , Atlantic City, Chicago/O?Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth (2) , Detroit, Los Angeles/LAX (3) , NY/LaGuardia, Orlando, Providence/Boston Area, Tampa (4), and Washington, D.C./Reagan National.
Punta Cana will be Spirit?s second destination in the Dominican Republic and 28th destination overall, further reinforcing Spirit?s position as the leading, low fare Caribbean carrier and the airline that offers the most non-stop service to the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale.
