We all know who's going to be buying Starbucks coffee at the departure hall.

That is a good thing.

I prefer Earl Grey tea as my main libation Windy. You can get that anywhere. The taste never varies. I do treat myself to one cup of DR coffee during breakfast. I like the combination of the coffee and the hot milk.

I also like Earl Grey. My grand parents were more into tea than coffee. My second wife, who died almost 30 years, grew up in Sri Lanka where her father owned three tea plantations. A VERY rich family at the time of her youth. I became quite familiar with good tea on my trips to Sri Lanka and the Nuwara Eliya region, I was supposed to retire north of Columbo.

I drink both tea and coffee now, where previously it was tea 99% of the time. Hey, this is the DR.

If someone gave me a Starbucks coffee I would probably have to throw it out. These days they might have improved, but I am unlikely to care enough to find out.

They carry moringa infused tea at Jose Luis. I prefer the lemon and mango flavoured ones. My friend in Luperon actually planted moringa trees on his farm and around his residence. He harvested the leaves and developed a process to dry and refine them for tea. He swears by the medicinal value of moringa and its high nutrient levels. The University of Hawaii has done a lot of research on moringa. It’s worth checking out.

Thanks. So far the only flavored tea I care for is Earl Grey. Otherwise an upcountry Sri Lankan style is preferred. Occasionally an Indian tea of unknown origin.

Isn't $5 the standard Starbucks price ? Anywhere??

just that the costs are less here.... labor, etc
Regardless of the service or quality of roasts, there are those who hate it because of whatever moral foundation they operate from (or whichever they were programmed to operate from). Myself, I drink Cafe Bustelo. Inexpensive, great flavor in the old style Cuban tradition. If i passed a SB, however, i wouldn't mind one of their specialty coffees or lattes as a treat.

Happy New Year!
