We are staying in an Airbnb near Blue Mall for a couple of nights. Walked around some last night the location seems good. Went to Blue Mall, Acropolis, had a drink at Blu Pool Bar on the 3rd floor of the Intercontinental Hotel. The bars at the Acropolis were pretty crowded. The cafe on the outside of the Blue Mall was very crowded.

The apartment is very quiet. Not sure how much is the location, being on the 5th floor or the construction but I do not hear any outside noise especially from the master bedroom.

We were able to walk to La Sierna to get groceries. There were some other nice looking Airbnb’s but they were not avaible by time I booked this one. The only additional feature that would be nice is a rooftop terrace.

Also wander over to Agora. There are a couple of nice restaurants/bars along the stretch between Blue Mall/Churchill and Kennedy(Avenida Ricart?), and then also along Kennedy up to Agora. Also, visit La Cuchara de Madera if they still have a location along Federico Geraldino. I used to walk there from my apartment on Sunday afternoons, but google says permanently closed so maybe they are just out of Agora or altogether gone now.

I like Blue Mall. It is the only place where I can find Oxford wingtip shoes, and they come in assorted colors.

me likes, me likes ........... great info

Jesus Troncoso is also a good street to walk and check out the restaurants and such. The entire area is safe to walk day and night.

There was one along Ricart that had a wall of greenery in front that had amazing pasta if I remember correctly. I will post to ask about La Cuchara because if they are gone, that is a tragedy.

Air Bnb are the best because you don't have to pay the sky high tax .... and the apartment are very nice.... I always use Airbnb when in Santo Domingo hell with the over priced hotel..... also once you get to know the owners they cut you breaks on everything i call it lets make a deal.... also no problems taking chica's in and out unlike hotel were they want to charge you extra..for a guest visit......
