Curious of the time the sun sets on the resort, in particular late June and early July.
Also wondering about Mid January.
I think the sun rises over the sea. Are there any parts of the beach that catches the sun set or does it go down behind Mount Isabella.

You can easily see the sun set from the beach in Playa Dorada! There are some spots where your view will be blocked but just walk a bit further east and you will get to see it!

July it is about 7:20 pm and in January I think it is closer to 6:40 pm.

It is great until some scumbag comes up to you and tries to sell you a bunch of useless crap or rob you !!!!!!! :bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny:

Hey! If you're referring to the sellers at Fort San Felipe I know them & they're ok. One dashed all over town to get me a DVD of Sanky Panky before they became readily 'available'. You might not like their wares but the sellers themselves are just fine & not the most assertive I have seen.

I've never had any problems at the Fort - day or night. Definitely a good place to see the sunset.

I agree - it is a safe place to visit, spend time watching the sun set, buy some trinkets, movies, CD's etc. Like Lambada I've never had a problem in that area. I love to sit and watch local families enjoying the area.

I love the Malec?n. It has so much potential. And I found the sellers there to be very polite and the old gentlemen were really sweet. I bought some mahogany boxes there... I think they were mahogany and petrified sculptures which took a far bit of time to make. They were nice little gifts for people. I recall one young man hopping on his pasola to get a DVD for planner and returning in 10 minutes. That's customer service!

Just out of pure interest, do you live here permanently or are you a frequent/ infrequent visitor?
