SWIMMING W/DOLPHINS

In Punta Cana you can swim with the dolphins at Manatee Park. The price was $75 US per person, and a shuttle bus picked you up at your hotel and brought you back. We did this about three years ago, and at the time the park was only about six months old. It was a good experience, but certainly not worth $75.

The dolphins were fine during the posing with each individual part because they were being fed after each pose. When we swam with the dolphins in groups of four for five minutes, they wanted nothing to do with us. The trainers actually had to coax them over near the group. Things may have changed significantly in the years since it opened, but if you go, don't set your expectations too high (just in case things haven't changed all that much).

Hope this helps.

We were just in Punta Cana last month and went to Manatee Park and swam with the dolphins. It was FANTASTIC!!!!!! Price was $65 US. The dolphins wouldn't have much to do with some of our group but my wife and I only were in the pool with 2 dolphins and they played with us the whole time. Rubbed our legs and feet, let us rub their backs and bellies. It was a wonderful experiance. I think they know if you like them. The price includes admission to the park.
