Taxi from Santiago Airport

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help me..I'm flying into Santiago Airport Thursday early morning and I need to get to Cabarete Casa Blanca hotel.

Can anyone tell me the best and cheapest way to travel to Cabarete? and just how much it will cost me?

Any help would great!!!

Hummm. You have a few options here.

You can take a cab to the metro or caribe tours bus stations. That will cost you about 400 to 500 pesos. Then hop on a bus to Sosua. That will be about 200 pesos. Then take a cab from Sosua to Cabarete which will be about 400 pesos. Total of around $1,300. Or you can get a cab to take you all the way to Cabarete from the airport. Not sure exactly what that will run you. There is a car service that is highly recommended on this board. I can't find the link right now but I hear they are really good.

there is a guy and his wife that do that route . They have been recomended many times and used by people on this board as well many times...I think they go by R and J....if you search for taxis to sosua and cabarete from STI...you 'll find them

Cost is about $80US for 1 - 5 passengers and will have you at your destination within about 2 hours of landing (about 1.5 hrs travel time from STI, depending on final destination).

Bob's way works but will take longer, possibly much longer, depending on Spanish skills and connections and may or may not be quite that cheap depending on your Gringo Factor - LOL.

If you can find someone to share the ride with you, nothing else compares for speed and cost, IMHO.
