Text messaging for Orange phones

Is there a link to where i can email from a computer to send an international text message free of charge?? I know we can do this to customers of Rogers in Canada. I just wanted to know if there's a way to do that to Dominican cell providers.

Here's a recent thread that dealt with sending text messages to the DR. There may be others.

As for as I know, sending text messages from a computer in the US (not sure about Canada) to an Orange phone in the DR, is not free. I think it's about 4 cents (US) for a message up to 160 characters.

To send txt message from computer to orange customers is not free, first you have to buy an Orange calling card and then visit their website so you will be able to send it, Verizon, Centennial and Tricom customer the service is free, for verizon is www.datamovil.net.do Centennial is www.centennialrd.com and Tricom www.tricom.net

I found a site www.txt2day.com that allows you to send messages for free. Am not sure if receiving them on the other end is free...I will update the result.
