From a tribute to Seppo on Facebook. Seppo is the man on the left . A Canadian who relocated to Puerto Plata where he had a shop as a luthier to make guitars. I am greatly saddened by his passing.

It seems all my posts are filled with sadness these days. Our dear friend Seppo has gone to the big studio in the sky. A master guitar maker with a passion for the unusual he astounded all with his creations, I first saw his work in a shop as a Stratocaster covered in mother of pearl ... who would do such a thing? Seppo! His creations were out of this world. He was always thinking of new ways to present his art. Our tears go out to his lovely wife Claire and his family. He will be sorely missed...... till we meet again. Goodby DR. Frankenstein a friend to all who knew his boyish curiosity. love james. Y pamela

James Lowe of the Electric Prunes is the fellow on the right holding the guitar Seppo made.

RIP, that's not a Canadian name though, he was born there? Asking as that first/last name combination was very popular in my country... Could well be that he was a Canadian citizen/lived there or was even born there, but his family roots must be in EU?

I am not sure of Seppos birth place. I know he moved to the DR from Canada. Like all of us from North America save the natives, almost none of our ancestors are from there.
