This 500 + page book by Frank Moya Pons has been a savior to me in trying to understand this country (and Hatiti). About a month ago I came to the realization that I knew nothing about this country that I am about to live in on a full time basis.
This book starts 3000 years ago and covers every chapter of significant events up to Fernadez in 2004.I'm about halfway through it and I can't recommend it enough for all those people that want to why, when, who and how did this happen? LLOL
