I realize it's not in contention and no longer exits, but the best airport is/was HERRERA !

I love the way they greet people in Punta Cana...with the girls in costumes and the tipico band...too bad they charge a 'departure' tax!!!!

Never been to Cibao airport...

Puerto Plata is nice also...but no comparison to Punta Cana...

Las Am?ricas is just another international airport...nothing notable...

Las Americas....Professional and never a victim of theft..Higher level of security since it is the Capitol 's Airport.......My Opinion............

Cibao in santiago by far. Very easy in and out. No problems. Las americas sucks there's always some little bs everytime i go through there.

. . . and why is it that so often nowadays in the sub-tropics the airports are built enclosed and air conditioned (sort of)? The old style (old POP and still at Punta Cana) where mostly everything is open with a breeze blowing through, seems to me to have a nicer ambience. And surely that air condtioning must cost a pile to install and operate.

That's funny, because Las Americas seems to always be in the news with personnel getting fired/arrested for theft and other illegal activities.

Punta Cana is now the nicest, since Santiago started using jetbridges.

La Romana is the most professional operation.

Santiago staff loves me! I think that they're all shown my picture during their training session and are told to stop and question me, whether I'm entering or leaving the country. :ermm:
