Hi all,

I am getting married in the DR in Oct 09. I am trying to research the best place to stay so that it has a real taste of the DR, nightlife & activities for the oldies and kiddies.

At the moment we are planning to stay at the Riu Palace in PC. Howver, I am getting concerned that there will not be enough activities to keep everyone happy/busy.

Are there any activities/clubs/bars that can be reached within a taxi ride?

If the east is not the best choice then would the north offer a better selection for everyone?

Thanks. S :bunny:

There is no shortage of things to do in Punta Cana. The Riu has a very active discotheque Pacha on its premises. And several of the most popular discos are 15 minutes away, such as Mangu and Areito. You are also close enough to take a day trip to Uvero Alto and Macao beaches. You could rent a car for the day and explore. The Palma Real Shopping Village will provide a free shuttle -- that plaza has several restaurants and Monte Cristo Bar that is recommended.

Your hotel will have a long list of excursions from which you can choose. The East is a very good option for getting married.

The north offers different excursions and attractions. Worthy of a second visit.
