Whew!
I just had my first experience w/ these people.... what a mess!

The website I found difficult.....
the extra charges go beyond beyond

Fees for seat selection, a fee to use a credit card (30 pounds ~)... it wouldn't stop

for those planning a Christmas trip...
Dec 26 is sold out, there are no more 'big' seats on the 24th (no 25th flight)

Cost ?... about 1050 pounds before all those extras !!!!

My final - with a 90pound big seat was $1900 US !!!!
Outrageous..........IMO

anybody suggest an alternative for future reference ??

Hi WW , Try Arkefly - their local rep Barbette comes to Don andres on Tuesdays at 10:15 and on Fridays at 10:15.
They fly POP Ams - Ams Pop so you have to get a connecting flight from AMs to Where-ever in UK.

gracias Olliphant....

I need to talk my daughter into that peripatetic route..

spoiled little thing likes to get on - sleep- get off - get driven to the house(w/ a beer and a Gordito's in hand)

I will mention it to her..... I gather there is little competition from the UK

Same for Canada..... higher prices

Sounds like they took a page from Spirit airlines play book.. I'll never fly with them again. You don't save anything after it's all said and done.

I think about you when I see those cheapies to PUJ

I could land a helicopter on my lawn --- if anybody had one !!!

Talked about it many times with like minded aviation oriented people. The conclusion is, in order to make a small fortune out of aviation (especially in this country), is to start with a large one!

Thomson started as a tour operator and still thinks like a tour operator, forgetting that it has acquired a bunch of planes.

It wants to package you, manage you and sell you excursions at its selected hotels where you must stay for a fixed period of time and to fly how and when it suits them, not you.

It seems that because of this, it has become one of the worst 'airline' companies that I've had to deal with as it has no idea how proper airlines work. It's web site is horrible for an independent traveller and its passenger support practically nonexistent (unless you speak fluent Gujarati maybe?).

But it still comes to POP direct, which is something, I guess and uses good equipment and support for its flights.

If it were not for the Sindicalistos it would be nice to run a luxury coach service from PC to POP direct with good service on board,no loud music and a clean toilet. Could be timed to meet selected flights.

No. It won't happen. Yes, I know....
