Top 40 Opens for INXS at Altos de Chav?n
Local rock band Top 40 has been chosen to open for Australian rockers INXS, who will be playing in the Dominican Republic for the first time on Saturday, November 23, in the spacious Altos de Chav?n amphitheater in La Romana.
Top 40?s participation in the event was confirmed this past week by Crist?bal Justiniano, executive of OCP, the company that is bringing the band responsible for such classic hits as ?Original Sin?, ?New Sensation?, ?Need You Tonight?, ?Never Tear Us Apart?, ?Suicide Blonde?, and ?Elegantly Wasted?, among many others, to the Dominican Republic.
Justiniano also announced that the INXS show is to be transmitted to the world via live web cast by the California-based Internet Company, LiveVenu, represented by Frank Button.

Top 40 Presents a Tribute-Concert to INXS at Montecristo Caf?
As is already a tradition, Top 40 will be playing on Sunday, November 17, at Montecristo Caf?, which is located in the Concordia Plaza, at the corner of Jos? Amado Soler Street and Abraham Lincoln Avenue. The event, sponsored by Chivas Regal, will begin at ten o?clock at night (10:00 p.m.). There is no cover and no entry fee.
This Sunday, the veteran Dominican rock group will be playing a special tribute concert to the Australian band INXS, which will play for the first time in the Dominican Republic on Saturday, November 23, at the Altos de Chav?n amphitheater.
Top 40 has successfully been dedicating the first week of every month to a new tribute-concert as a part of the band?s calendar of activities at Montecristo Caf?. The band has already played tribute shows to other classic groups, such as The Doors (in September), and U2 (in October). On December 1, Top 40 will present a special tribute to Colombian singer Shakira, a big favorite among Dominican crowds.
