Hi Guys,

I had my trip booked through itravel2000 and operative was Transat Holidays. Right when my flight was due (Saturday) my flight (westjet) was cancelled due to Hurricane Gustav warning. I checked over internet and didn't go to the airport.

My flight was reschedule for Monday (2 days later), I wasn't even informed by Itravel2000 or Transat regarding this. I checked their web and this notification was there.

Now I emailed itravel2000 asking for some compensation, they simply forwarded my email to Transat and the reply itravel that I will get $50 for each day I missed per person in vouchers (so $200). If I canlculate I had a lose of atleast $400 if my devide my cost and nights.:bored:

I understand they dont have control over weather but I didn't use the hotel room or their food for two days either.

Anythoughts will be appreciated. Thanks

I know its not quite the same situation but I had problem with itravel 2000 a few years ago...

I booked a hotel only package in POP for semana santa.

when we arrived the hotel they had no record of my reservation.

we were forced to pay the hotel directly to stay & take it up with itravel2000for a refund when we returned home.

they forwarded our complaint to holiday house which was the company that sold the room to itravel2000 & took absolutely 0 responsibility for what happened.

holiday house sent me an apology letter more than 6 months later full of spelling mistakes & said they had tried to call me to let me know that the room was not available (the date & time they said they tried to call was after the plane had left & we were already in the DR....there was no phone message on my machine, no email or fax sent & they had the correct contact info).

TO DATE: NO REFUND

I would NEVER EVER use ITRAVEL2000 again.
