A health certificate from a licensed vet in the DR dated within 10 days of your departure is required to leave the country. You must report to the agriculture dept prior to your flight, pay a fee(approx. $10), and present both documents to the airline.

Be sure to fly early am. or after 7:00pm.

Good luck

This is some basic info:

- Vet cert may be issued by your local vet. It is not necessary to legalize the document.
- Vet cert may not be older than 10 days
- All vaccinations must be up to date
AND
- All vaccinations must have been done between the last 30 days and last year. This means: earlier than the last 30 days or later than a year - you're out of luck, or try to bribe a vet to issue you a cert with the dates that fall within.
- airline will charge you approx. 100 USD to transport the pet, it must be in cage that fits in cabin under the seat and must be booked ahead of time as only limited number of pets-in-cabin is permitted within each flight (call the airline for specific info)
