travel between Puerto Rico and DR....

what is the cheapest way to travel between the DR and Puerto Rico? I want to go to Santo Domingo, but I'll have to fly into San Juan,PR, because apparently, TWA doesn't fly to the DR now. So, I have to find either a boat or plane to bring me to the DR. It's not important where in the DR I end up, I just need to somehow get there. Once I'm there, I know how to get where I'm going. So, If you know of a cheap mode of transportation, please let me know. Thanks in advance, Justin

I think that Air Santo Domingo is the least

espensive. I hear that they fly into Santiago and Santo Domingo.
And there is American Eagle that flies into POP, STI & SDQ as well as La Romana and Punta Cana

Air santo domingo is the best bet right now. They have 2 flights daily to santo domingo and 2 to santiago. small 18 seater plane, but in very good condition. Its a 1 hour and 10 mins flight to santiago and probably takes the same length of time to arrive in santo domingo. Prices are cheaper than american eagle. I paid 188 dollars RT to santiago.
check with them and ask for the 10 dollar coupon towards buying your ticket.
Only negative thing is that you are only allowed a 44 lbs suitcase, anything extra is 1 dollar / pound.

(incidently, i had to heavy suit cases weighing more than 44 lbs each. I paid 0. Just be nice to them and smile. say a few good things about the airline and about DR as well.)
