Hi... I am needign soem last minute help from anyone who knowssss air travel... My questions is similar to one already posted, but different enough. There is probably something in the archives about this already too, but I must not have the right keywords...
Anyway, here goes!:
My boyfriend needs to travel from the DR to the US (ultimately to North Carolina) in early June. We used to use American Arilines, but alas! the prices have gone up so much that we find ourselves being unable to afford it! So I am trying to get him a ticket from the DR to anywhere in the Eastern U.S. (that may be cheaper on another, lesser-known, or non-US airline that might) have layovers in Miami, New York etc. and so which may serve that route.) Once I get him into the US, then I can use Travelocity or SkyAuction to find an inexpensive ticket from there to North Carolina. Tickets up for auciton (at least the auctions I'm familiar with anyway) must originate in the US, so that took us out of the running for good internet deals from the Dr to the US, the first portion of his trip.
1) Does anyone have a list of airlines flying to/through the US from the DR (Santo domingo, santiago, la romana or punta cana)? They can be Latin American, European, Icelandic... it doesn't matter so long as they fly into the US for layovers.
OR 2) Does anyone know of a ticket auction house that will let us bid on flights which originate from the DR?
