I saw the following article the other day about influenza vaccinations. It says it is now available to certain groups of people, including older people (which probably applies to many DR1 members). However, it does not appear to be available in cities like Puerto Plata and it doesn't make it clear if it is available for non-citizens. Older people are always advised to have a flu jab, so I wonder how one would get one without travelling to a crowded hospital in a distant city? Is there a private alternative available?
While on the subject of vaccinations, a Canadian friend of mine was recommended to have Pneumonia and Shingles vaccinations when he was in his country a year or so ago. Are these vaccinations available here?
For all of you who are dying to take this off-topic and onto the subject of Covid-19, please don't, as I think the subject is of interest and importance to many members here.
