Looking for something for two or three days at Christmas that isn't too far from the airport. Stepson is flying in from Canada on the 24th and want to stay off the road. We usually stay at the Grand Ventana but willing to try Cabarete area. We like quiet and good food, safe swimming beach, doesn't have to be big.

The beach outside often disappears and when it's there it's not safe for swimming. However, Cabarete main beach is only a short walk away.

I like the It is quiet and I like the restaurant and food as others have said above. It even appears to meet Mr Big's standards!!

Only place in D.R. I've ever been where the tap water is potable. Front desk attendants speak very good English and tolerate my middling Spanish. This is a very well run hotel and well located; you won't regret staying here.

I've been there several times. The food in their restaurant is very good so much so that we chose to eat there every night as well as having breakfast. The pool is lovely, infinity pool overlooking the beach. Some of the units have kitchens and it's very close to Janet's so you can cook if you want to.

I would definitely recommend it.

and what about those cramped spiral staircases to the 3rd floor, as this floor seems to be the only one available to non-members of their owner's club
you can request any floor you like. Being a small boutique hotel, they accommodate most requests. The hotel is also far enough off the main road, so you don't hear the traffic. Best place on the North Coast to watch the sunset.
