Raquel Peña and Han Duck-soo / Presidency
Vice President Raquel Peña returned to Santo Domingo after the last stretch of a nine-day trip to Asia that took her to Japan and South Korea. She was in South Korea for visits with top government officials, non-governmental organizations and business people from 5 to 8 April 2023 following a first stop after her travels to Japan (31 March to 5 April).
In South Korea, she met with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo. The opening of talks for a free trade agreement between both countries and collaboration in energy, infrastructure and transport was discussed.
