Weather in May

Wondering what the weather is like at the beginning of May?
Planning to go to the DR for the first time (Punta Cana) after daughter gets
married...figgured my wife will need a rest after it all. We were in Veradero
Cuba last Oct. weather, people and resort great.....FOOD SUCKED!!!!
Wife said willing to give Caribbean one last try, so decided to stack deck
and chose 5 Star resort any insight into the weather between Apr. 29 through May 10th would be appreciated.

May? My favorite time in the Caribbean. April/May are beautiful months. Not as hot as Hades yet, and tropical showers just about daily to cool things down. But our weather has been really upside down lately. (The experts call it global warming). So, let's hope for you it is a normal beautiful, tropical hot and fragrant with flowers May.
