Weather in Punta Cana

I will be traveling to Punta Cana November 6 for 8 days. I was reading about the hurricane season and then someone said there is the heavy rain season after that. Will I need to expect rain while I'm there? I'm going for the beaches of course and since I haven't read of anything to do besides this I am now getting worried. Could someone let me know. Thanks!! It has been raining regularly all year round in the DR, which is keeping the countryside green and lush and the produce coming in. Note though that these are mostly short showers, of less than 10 minutes duration. It can be pouring one moment and the sun shining the next. El Ni?o and La Ni?a weather phenomenons have changed the regular rainy season, so you could be just as well in for very sunny days.
