Very odd to me. But odder things have happened. My husband’s grandfather was buried in a cemetery on independencia when he died in 1948. When his grandmother died about 10 years later, she was buried in a cemetery on Maximo Gomez. Why, I don’t know. What I do know is that years later my mother-in-law’s older sister had him dug up, and she brought all his bones to her house to clean them (😳😳😳) and then had him reburied with his wife over at Maximo Gomez.

Wow, that is interesting. Do you need a permit/permission to exhume a body from its grave?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of respect for bones here. I think most cemeteries have a stack of bones in a corner somewhere.
