the spelling is not correct -----
es - cojelo suave...........no s at the end.
Actually the correct spelling originating from the infinitive form of the verb is:
Coger and in the expression it's "c?
gelo suave" (with the 'g') because it's the informal command of the verb form
t?. The 'g' changes to 'j' in the subjunctive and formal commands forms such as
coja, cojas, coja etc.
It's another one those frequent spelling errors in Spanish because of the confusion phonetically between /g/ and /j/ which carry the same sound but the /g/ changes to a hard /g/ depending on the vowel that follows it. Compare the phonetic pronunciation of 'general' vs. 'gota'. A soft /g/ vs. a hard /g/ sound.

Edited to add the conjugation table from the RAE (imperative forms of the verb 'coger'):
IMPERATIVO
coge (t?) / cog? (vos)
coged (vosotros) /
cojan (ustedes)
