Where in the world is La Bombita?

I am visiting the DR for a week starting Nov. 2 with a view to going back to live there in January (Job interviews, etc.). While there, I want to do a favour for a friend who has a "foster child" in La Bombita. With the myriad of maps of the DR on the net, none is detailed enough so I can get a sense of where this little guy lives, so I can visit and drop off some gifts. My friend doesn't know either. Can you help? Also, if I could hook up with anyone who lives in the Sosua / Cabarete area while I am there, just to get a sense of the lifestyle, I would be most grateful. I am a 52-year-old Canadian. Leaving Thursday a.m., so email quick.

it is a small place like 6.5 km from sosua to cabarete
after Hotel Sol De Plata like 1 km from there

I have worked in a Haitian batey called Bombita located several miles east of Barahona on the south west coast. There is a school and medical clinic there and many children are sponsored by folks in the US and UK. The organization is called COPA or Community Partners. Could this be it? Please email me if you think I can help.

There is another La Bombita in the Province of Azua. One or two kilometers to the north the city of Azua
