I am wondering if you can suggest some good websites to download music from. I'm not talking free illegal downloads, I don't mind paying. But itunes doesn't have quite a few of the newer songs that I'm hearing on the DR radio stations. And I'm in Canada so can't download from Amazon.com

I figure the djs in the clubs there download from somewhere...any ideas?

Thanks in advance. :)

Amazon has a Canadian site.
iTunes also has most Latin artists.
iso hunt....hint hint.

What artists are you looking for, I have a very large database of mp3's?

That's the thing with free download websites (other than it technically being illegal), I can never be too sure what I'm downloading and have gotten some viruses that way. I'd rather pay for it and know what I'm getting.

There are a few songs in particular that I am trying to get: Ladys by Don Miguelo and A Ta Ti Te Doy by Crazy Design. There's been a few others over the past few weeks I've looked for and have now forgotten what they were.

I have been quite successful with iTunes for the most part. And I know amazon.ca exists, but I couldn't find anywhere to download music. Just thought there might be something more specific to the DR that a local would know about.

Music Artists in the DR send FREE songs to radio stations and FREE clips to TV stations. The artists PAY for appearances on TV and for radio interviews. YES! I could not believe it myself until I spoke to some people who DEAL with the music artists in the DR. The M.A. pays "payola".

that's how DJ's in the clubs in the DR get music, they get it legally free and among the first, even many times before the song is officially released (on street CD's).

I use MP3 Rocket. I paid US $26.00 for a lifetime subscription and all files can be previewed prior to download. It is just music though, no movies. Fast and good quality.

I hardly ever download anything anymore (Use Pandora mostly), but for Dominican artists you can find lots of them at TRICULI. They typically have the latest songs and you can also listen online (La Villonera)

Also if you happen to have a smart phone there are many apps that are great for this. In my Android phone I use Tunee Music...it seems to always find what I want.
