Thanks to new competition on the route, travellers to New York will be able to take advantage of a US$139 one way fare from Santo Doming to to New York and from New York to Santo Domingo. Taxes are not included. TWA is offering the reduced fare from 2 December – 28 December from Santo Domingo to New York, and from 19 January through 15 February from New York to Santo Domingo from 10 January to 15 February. APA International is also offering the same fare, and striving to top it by allowing an extra suitcase, flexibility in changing travel dates, an open bar and a better cabin service. In the past, fares rarely have dropped below US$400 for a return journey.
