One of the most popular purchases by tourists visiting the Dominican Republic, Cerveza Presidente, is now available by the box in New York City. The Cervecería Nacional Dominicana has entrusted Martlet Importing Company, owned by Molson Breweries USA, a subsidiary of the Miller Brewing Company, with the distribution, starting 23 Jan. in New York City. The company launched Presidente in Florida last summer with much success. Sales are expected to be greater in New York, in view of the large number of resident Dominicans. The Miller Brewing Company is owned by Philip Morris, the principal shareholder of the Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana.
