The Listin Diario’s Tulio Navarrete reported from Madrid that His Highness, Don Felipe Bourbon, congratulated the Dominican Republic on its success in recent years during his visit to its stand at the FITUR Spanish tourist industry show. The prince was received by the Minister of Tourism, Frank Jorge Elias, and the Dominican Republic’s ambassador to Spain, Fabio Herrera Cabral. They presented him with a book, “Sensaciones y Colores de la República Dominicana” with photographs of important monuments and sites in the country. The book is dedicated to him “A su Alteza Real, el Príncipe de Borbón, con la admiración y el aprecio del pueblo dominicano.”
The Minister, Jorge Elías, said that His Highness’s visit to the stand is an example of his support for the D.R. Tulio Navarette also reported that Jorge Elías had lunch with the Minister of Tourism and Commerce of Spain, Dr. Javier Gómez Navarro. The Dominican stand is on two levels and has the super attraction of Miriam Cruz, who was scheduled to perform there on 28 and 29 February.
