The National Association of Hotels and Restaurants opens its Tenth Convention at 7 pm on Wednesday, 25 September, at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel in Santo Domingo. The event also features a large trade show which will be open to those in the tourist industry from Wednesday, 25 September at 7 pm and then to the general public at 4 pm on Friday, 27 September, and again at 10 am on Saturday, 28 September.
The program for the convention includes speeches by the president of Asonahores, Frank Rainieri and the Minister of Tourism, Felix Jiménez. Other topics that will be covered are: the strengthening of the role of the city government in the development of tourism, the Puerto Rican and Cuban marketing experiences, the study on the plan for the management of tourism on Dominican territory, the economic effect of tourism on the country, aviation policies, guidelines for new national tourism policies, and all-inclusive hotels.
