As of today, Dominicans residing abroad who return for the Christmas holidays will be able to bring in, free of duty, up to US$1,000 in gifts. The Department of Customs measure benefits Dominicans who arrive from 1 December to 7 January, and those who have not travelled to the D.R. within the past six months.
