Legal expert Jottin Cury said that he favors Attorney General Abel Rodríguez del Orbe’s decision not to prosecute those involved in the Bahia de las Aguilas case who have returned the titles of the beach lands acquired irregularly. Dr. Abel Rodríguez has stopped the prosecution of Senator Antonio Feliz Perez, his business partner Nelson Fernández Mancebo and others involved in the scandal whereby persons of influence in the past government of President Balaguer abused their positions to purchase the lands belonging to a national park. Dr. Jottin Cury says that the courts are congestioned with work, and he favors that if a person returns what has been obtained illegally, the person should be left in peace.
