The winners of the Jaycees award to outstanding young people of 1996 were Miguel Bogaert Portela, Fernando Aníbal Capellán Peralta, Liliana Fernández de Cid, Carlos García Lithgow, Gloria María Hernández Contreras, Francisco Pedro Dolores Lizardo, Guillermo Moreno Garciá, Eric José Raful Pérez, Miguel Eduardo Reyes Sánchez and Lissette Marie Selman Asilis. The event was held at the Central Bank. The award honors persons under 40 who make a major contribution to life in the Dominican Republic.
