Northwest Airlines and Amerijet International from the United States will begin operations to the Dominican Republic this month. Northwest Airlines will fly from Minneapolis to Puerto Plata, Punta Cana and Santo Domingo airports. Amerijet International will fly from Curacao, Fort de France, Point a Pitre, Port of Spain, also connecting to St. Martin, Panama, Port au Prince and Barbados, touching land in Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo. He said that Air Santo Domingo will fly to Port au Prince and Cap Haitian from several Dominican airports.
