In interviews with the Dominican press in Punta Cana, Henry Kissinger commented favorably on the government of President Leonel Fernández. He said he was "very impressed" with the description of the plans for the D.R.’s development, what has been achieved up to now and what is forthcoming. Kissinger is a regular annual visitor to the Dominican Republic.
