The National Dialogue, or talks held to reach a consensus on the national agenda and the so-called national project for the development of the Dominican Republic for the next years, began yesterday at the National Palace. President Fernández aspires that the project that comes forth from the talks will transcend his government and become a true national agenda that includes global reforms. All development projects presented by the social and political sectors are up for discussion. The talks are directed by President Fernández himself, Monsignor Agripino Núñez and Carlos Doré. A new date in February, instead of 26 January, was set for the signing of the conclusions of the event.
