The Julio Iglesias concert in Altos de Chavón was said to be the most successful concert ever held there. It is the second time that Julio Iglesias performs in the La Romana amphitheater. Also at the performance were Oscar de la Renta and his wife Annette Reed, Henry Kissinger and his wife Nancy, as well as Barbara Walters. The show began at 7:50 pm and concluded at 9:15 pm. Proceeds will benefit the Hogar del Niño, an orphanage sponsored by Oscar de la Renta in La Romana.
