The government appointed Dr. Euclides Gutiérrez Féliz, formerly director general of the Corporación Dominicana de Empresas Estatales (Corde), as the new Superintendent of Insurance. He replaces Carlos Amarante Baret, who is running for senator for the province of Espaillat on the Partido de la Liberación Dominicana ticket.
